Q: How do I search for lesson plans from the home page?

A: Click on the subject icons and you will view latest lesson plans created for that subject.

Q: How do I become a featured teacher?

A: Another user must recommend you.

Q: How do I recommend a featured teacher?

A: Click on "Recommend a Featured Teacher" button and send us an email of the teacher you wish to recommend. We will contact them.


Q: How do I meet other teachers?

A: Click on the "Forums" link in the top toolbar or "Meet Other Teachers" button on the home page.

 

Lesson Plans

 

Q: How do I search for a specific lesson plan?
A: Type keywords into the search bar in the upper left hand corner. You may also search by selecting the subject and grade level for the lessons you wish to see.

Q: How do I create a lesson plan?
A: Click on the link "Create Lesson Plan" in the "Main Menu" and fill in the required fields.

Q: How do I save a lesson plan?
A: When viewing a lesson you wish to save, click the "Save" link in the upper right hand corner of the lesson plan.

Q: How do I share a lesson plan with my colleague?
A: When viewing a lesson, click on the "Share" button in the upper right hand corner. Select a colleague and click the "Send" button. The lesson will be sent to your colleagues message inbox.

Q: How do I search for a fellow colleague?
A: Click on the link "Find a Colleague," then enter your colleagues email address.

Q: How do I invite a fellow colleague to Teacherlinx?
A: Click on the "Invite a Friend" link and fill in your friend's email addresses.

Q: How do I gain reward points?

A: You may gain 2 reward points for creating a public lesson. For each star ranking higher than one, multiply the star ranking by 10 after ten users have rated it.

Q: How do I use my reward points?
A: You use your reward points by entering raffles in our "Reward" section.

Q: How many reward points do I have?
A: View all accumulated points by clicking on the link "Reward Points" on the "Main Menu."

 

Forums

Q: Someone has written an inappropriate post, what can I do about that?

A: Click on the link "Report this Post" and send a description of what you find inappropriate.

Q: I created a thread or post that I now wish to delete, how do I remove it?

A: Click on the link "Report this Post" and send a description of exactly what you wish to have removed.

 

Profile

Q: How do I create my profile?
A: You must be logged in to create a profile. Click the "Edit Profile" link on the "Main Menu" and fill in your desired text fields. Click "SAVE."

Q: How do I upload my picture for my profile?
A: Click on "Edit Profile" from the "Main Menu," and then click on the "Browse" button. Select your picture from your computer and click save.

Q: How do I view other user profiles?
A: You may view other user profiles by clicking on their usernames. The usernames can be found on Lesson Plan Cards, Forum Posts, and within the Colleague section.

 

Reporting Offensive Content or Spam

Q: How do you report a user for offensive content or spam?
A: You report offensive content or spam by clicking the "Report" link on the forum post, lesson, or profile and writing a description of what you find offensive or spam.

Q: Someone on Teacherlinx is harassing / threatening / pretending to be me. What can I do about it?
A: To report someone who is harassing / threatening you, click on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page and describe your situation.

Q: Is Teacherlinx free?

A: Yes, Teacherlinx is a public site that is open to any person who wishes to professionally engage in finding, sharing, and creating lesson plans.

Q: How do I advertise my business on Teacherlinx?

A: To advertise your business, click on the "Advertise" link at the bottom right corner of the page and select the type of advertising you are interested in.

Q: How do I change my password?
A: To change your password, click on the link "Change Password" on the "Main Menu." Enter your current password and type in your new password.

Q: How do I change my e-mail address?
A: To change your e-mail address, click on the "Edit Profile" link on the "Main Menu," and change your email in the text box.

Q: How do I delete my account and remove myself from Teacherlinx?
A: Click on "Contact Us" on the bottom toolbar. Fill in the required fields and click "Send." Your account will be deleted from Teacherlinx.
