Objectives:
*Generate appropriate word choices to respond to a writing prompt.
*Plan a literature review using a graphic organizer.
*Write a first draft of a literature review.
* Use a rubric to assess and then revise writing.
Together talk about word choices from the workshop vocabulary that would fit into their literature review. Next, brainstorm descriptive words that are positive and negative words. Have students to a rough draft on page 158.
Small Group
Have students revise their writing and rate their paragraph. Have a partner rate it also. They can also begin typing their paragraph.
